Assessment criteria

The number of eligible applicants for scholarships is expected to exceed the number of scholarships available. The Trust will have regard to the following criteria when selecting which of the applicants will be offered a scholarship.

Commitment to education and ethos
Consideration will be given commitment shown by the applicant and their parents / guardians to enthusiasm towards education generally and the ethos of the School.

Primary school record
Consideration will be given to the applicant’s record of attendance, discipline and application to their studies at primary school. It should be noted that it is the effort given to their studies and not the academic result that will be considered.

Extra-curricular
Consideration will be given to the any particular applicant’s participation in extra-curricular activities (music, drama, sport, etc.) and the extent to which they might benefit from the resources available in the School.
